Social media has changed the way we communicate by offering opportunities for every user to publish anything and everything without consideration of existing copyright laws. With that much content being generated it raises questions about copyright, fair use and intellectual property. At the next Social Media Club Hawaii event, we dive into these questions and discuss how what we post may or may not be copyright infringement. We’ll also present views on terms of use of websites and social media platforms, which is something all social media account holders essentially agree to. Talk story with some of Hawaii’s experts and practitioners who will provide examples to help explore the issue of copyright.
